THE EXECUTIVE CORNER
Job Summary
Our company is seeking an Executive Junior Sous Chef tolearn from the elegant and talented team at the HouseofChef James Mitchell. In this position, you will work under theexecutive chef, supervising Sous-chefs and working closelywith our event coordinating department.
You will also test the skills taught to you throughout yourjourney at the House Junior Chefs Academy by workinginanelevated commercial kitchen with the highest standards. The ideal Junior Chef will have attained their certificationinour Sage Program. He would like to further their career bygetting an esteem and coveted internship in culinaryarts.Still, we are willing to work with anyone with the necessaryskills and experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Our requirements for this program:
- Must Purchase your ''Maces Apprentice Chef Jacket''
- Must work a minimum of 540 hrs within your 18 weeks. Above those hours you will be paid the minimum wage rate of Canada.
- Must complete the 16 week program. Must follow the code of the Executive Corner Codex. Participate in 3 different styles of the Culinary Arts. Participate in Field Trips, Showcases & Special Events pertaining to the Academy.
- Create a 25 page portfolio of their work.
BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM
All students who participate in this program will gain experience and skill sets such as:
After attending our 18-week internship they will be able to able to apply for a permanent part-time or full-time position at a premium rate beginning at $19.50 +/hr.
They will also have a 2hr meeting with the MC to develop their CV with the up-and-coming trends in the industry. We will go review interview skills and tips to allow them to flourish in any interview. They will be developing their culinary portfolio allowing them to showcase their skills and talent to any future employer.
By completing this 18-week internship they will be assessed by the MC Team of Directors

Important Details

All fees cover each session.
Each session includes all food costs, kitchen fees, in-house activities, registration fees & administrative fees. It does not cover supply list, uniforms or field trips.
- A discount will apply to every class above one per child/family.
- Additional fees include students personal tools, aprons, chef jacket, field trips, traveling costs & supply list given at the beginning of each session.
- Payment may be made by credit card. If registering in person, payment may be made in full upon registration by cash or cheque.
- Alternatively, payments can be made monthly in up to 2 installments on the 15 of the month. Please contact the office for more information and to make payment arrangements.
